ASI MI NATION: UN CALIBAN BORICUA EN TRANSNACIOLANDIA

A través de una estética que no esté demarcada por una definición tradicional, sino por una ruptura de fronteras entre las artes que desestabilicen sus viejos modelos genéricos, se representa ASI MI NATION, un Calibán, ahora bajo un mundo interrelacionado por la globalización en la que surgen varios niveles políticos, sociales, económicos y culturales. De esta forma, se trata de desconstruir a través de la metáfora calibanesca aquellas definiciones monolíticas puertorriqueñas de lo nacional, cultural, político y genérico, entronados a través de un discurso monológico de lo caribeño, lo gringo y lo latinoamericano.

La metáfora del Calibán posmoderno/poscolonial en nuestros tiempos es representado estéticamente mediante un arte interdisciplinario, desjerarquizado, multidimensional e híbrido que expresa las relaciones interculturales de los sujetos marginados y, que desmantela las viejas estereotipificaciones que han establecido su conceptualización esencialista en el primer y tercer mundo desde diversas perspectivas. Es decir, para el discurso criollo arielista, perpetuado en la ciudad letrada colonial, Calibán sigue siendo el paria, al su discurso seguir legitimándose por instituciones latinoamericanas, gringas y caribeñistas, tales como bibliotecas, academias y centros culturales. En estos momentos la metáfora de Calibán se produce, usando una nueva cartografia que no necesariamente represente la construcción espacial e identitaria totalizante de la otredad primermundista y tercermundista, sino la liminalidad espacial e identitaria de una multiplicidad de sujetos heterogéneos, ambiguos y contradictorios ubicados en tiempos globales y transnacionales.

El Calibán que va a transnaciolandia se desterritorializa de la Isla, ha violentado su identidad y se ha desvinculado de su espacio boricua y localista, al su desterritorialización desafíar su pertenencia espacial, lingüística, etnica, clasista, de orientación genérica y sexual. Es decir, su legitimación se enriquece con lo diverso, con el cruce de márgenes hacia centros metropolitanos y con su propia parodia e ironía como sujeto ontológico. De esta manera, el sujeto calibanesco se reterritorializa en un significante flotante que atraviesa las fronteras lingüísticas, nacionales, etnicas, de clase y de género y, su constante movimiento evidencia un discurso transterritorial y transdisciplinario que cuestiona los paradigmas recalcitrantes de las tradicionales disciplinas de las ciencias sociales y humanas que lo han construido y representado. El discurso calibanesco transterritorial entierra un pasado y se transmuta en una nueva conciencia posnacional y posidentitaria, transgrediendo y resistiendo la concreticidad, la homogeneizacion y el esencialismo del sujeto boricua insular. Ahora, el sujeto calibanesco es multiforme, liminal, heterogéneo, contradictorio, ambiguo e híbrido. Se descategoriza la vieja metáfora bajo las formas perversas de la estética tales como simulacros, simulaciones, pastiches, cyborgizaciones, palimpseptos, por decir algunas, que desacreditan todo discurso fundamentalista, distorsionándose en una virtualidad hiperreal. Por consiguiente, entendemos que la subjetividad calibanesca es una resistencia en tiempos globales y transnacionales a los límites que la constituyen desde conceptualizaciones, discursos y representaciones totalizantes.

Bajo estas experiencias estéticas transterritoriales van surgiendo los cuestionamientos y las resistencias a los discursos totalizantes de los espacios de origen del sujeto. Es decir, la transnacionalidad acentúa una tendencia al desmantelamiento de los discursos nacionales homogeneizantes y los límites fronterizos de sujetos y sus pertenencias espaciales, al sus aparatos estatales no legitimar estas nuevas articulaciones identitarias. Ahora la transnacionalidad y la transterritorialidad calibanesca se fundamenta en la colaboración de una multiplicidad de sujetos subalternos en los centros metropolitanos hegemónicos, quienes van a reclamar “sus derechos humanos, la democratización de la economía, el fomento de la diversidad cultural, así como la eliminación de las antipatías étnicas y raciales en la definición de la nacionalidad [puertorriqueña]” (Torres-Saillant).

Ya las musas
están muertas,
aunque cucubanos
asedian por los cementerios.

Ya el letargo
aguarda
su prisa

y las azucenas
se confuden
de mandrágoras.

Ya la ausencia
se dicta
de un presente

y las actas
se resumen
sin pasado.

Ya el cansancio
se prolonga
del veneno

y detecta
la tangencia
de sus rosas.

Ya la congoja
se alza
de su risa

y se pudre
con fragancia
de sus gotas.

Ya el proverbio
no se mide
por su cola

sin inicio
del consciente
que apodera.

Ya los grados
del instante
se derivan

como ondas
que penetran
sin imanes.

Ya sus ruinas
no registran
de paredes

sin que sombras
atesoren
pulsaciones.

Ya no
establecen
sus ánimos.

Ya no
circudan
sus cosas.

Sólo
tintas
que cantores

no
acomodan
